This AW18 kids flash trend on Fair Isle knit, takes inspiration from some of the best ideas and designs on the high street. This has been a reoccurring theme across all the comp shops we have seen in the UK, Europe and further afield; Tokyo, New York, Berlin and Paris to name just a few. There is a mix of fine gauge designs with a geometric feel in either subtle mono colours or with a bright colour pop. We have added a hint of Christmas novelty using a jacquard character or two alternatively lurex and metallic yarns give a more pretty look especially by adding a fur pom. The chunkier textured Fair Isle designs make an interesting contrast with the space dye slub yarns and large gauges. The multicoloured self-yarn pompoms are a great way to update styles for boys and give the traditional fair isle look a more modern twist.
