Are faux fur accessories the best way to add some instant glamour to your wardrobe, whilst staying warm, fashionable and guilt free in the cold weather?…. Read on to see why we think they are!
Hello lovely readers we hope 2017 is treating you well so far. I am still away in sunny South America, but after speaking to Ree she informs that that back in the UK it is positively Brrrrrr-some!
I arrive back on our not so sunny shores at the end of January and the first thing I’ll be doing is, packing away my bikinis and digging out my fluffiest faux fur to wrap up and beat the end of the Winter chill.
Now even though Spring may be just around the corner, there is still time to enjoy the most luxe of accessories in our Winter wardrobes – faux fur!
So here is a quick look readers at some of my favourite faux fur accessories and a few ways to style them.
Check out some cute and inexpensive ways to introduce a few bits of fluffy goodness into your lives without breaking the bank! (After all many of us are still recovering from the Christmas credit cards!)
A faux fur pom pom beanie hat
OK so I am a true believer in warm head equals warm body! It’s a fact (OK it may not be scientifically proven, but my Mum has assured me since I was a little girl) that you lose body heat through your head. I personally feel so much happier when I have a toasty head!
For some cool Winter hat ideas check out our earlier blog right here.
For me one of my favourite types of Winter hat is a knitted beanie. Especially when they have a cute faux fur pom pom. Beanie hats just scream effortless cool. A faux fur pom pom beanie and some sunglasses are my go to items when I’m dashing about on a cold day and have zero styling time! (Pretty much every day!)
Countless celebrities seem have got the memo too, that a faux fur beanie is the way forward. Both Myleene Klass and Kendall Jenner both look super cool and chic in theirs, giving the rest of their styling a sporty, casual vibe.
Back in Autumn 2016 Myself and Ree were introduced to a fantastic brand- Alice Hannah. This incredible accessories brand has become our go to place for all our faux fur fashion fixes. To see why we love this brand so much check out my earlier blog right here.
To pick up a similar one for yourselves why not try this super simple black one, available from ASOS
Why not try pairing it with super relaxed styling of your favourite jeans, a roll neck and a trusty bomber or a leather jacket. The best thing about this cap lovely readers, is that the faux fur pom pom is detachable, so you can wear it right through into Spring and Summer too, bargain!
The Faux Fur headband or Russian Cossack Style Hat
Now last Christmas I was lucky to spend some gorgeous days in beautiful but breezy Norfolk. Breezy might be a slight understatement, it was positively Arctic! Bless my faux fur Russian Cossack style head band, it literally saved my little ears from freezing off, I kid you not. It was also perfect for controlling my hair from the crazy windy seaside weather!
I think this type of faux fur headband or Russian style hat is perfect to dress up to for a Winters night out. I looks super glam and they are so easy to wear.
Check out the snap of beautiful Perrie Edwards showing us how its done.
And if a faux fur Cossack hat is good enough for a Princess it’s clearly the way forward!
I actually picked my faux fur headband up in a second hand store for about £2 but the shops are still full of these fabulous faux fur accessories.
Why not try this faux fur headband from ASOS to update your wardrobe. It’s now in the sale for under £10! Talk about sexy Siberian snugness!!
The Faux Fur shrug or collar
I think another really easy way to wrap up for a chilly evening out, is with a faux fur shrug or collar. Perfect to pop over any existing jacket in your wardrobe for a new little twist and a touch of glamour.
I love my faux fur shrug from Alice Hannah to pop over a trusty leather jacket or a camel coat for an evening out.
A faux fur shrug or collar can work easily as well for a daytime look. Pop a fur collar over a bomber jacket or a parka for a really cute and warm daytime look.
I have spotted this gorgeous one in the sale available from Topshop A really easy little look to wear over your favourite jacket or shirt.
