Fair Isle knitwear is a major theme running throughout menswear this AW18. We have seen some great examples in all our comp shop destinations including New York, Berlin and Barcelona. This report highlights three of the best takes on this traditional knitted style. Berlin was best for the finer gauge ideas in muted commercial colours with a warm handle. New York mixed in marl knits and geo patterns to give a younger look with colour pops and yarn twists . Chunky fair isles with raised textured stitches and a soft brushed hand feel were seen a lot in Barcelona. These styles were more about the yarns and stitch with a simple nod to fair isle design.
