Milan – Home of Fashion and Design.
Milan welcomed 2 members of the Boardmans team last week for a bit of shopping, a bit of culture and a lot of gelato!
For those who haven’t visited Milan, Corso Buenos Aires is the first port of call for fashion lovers. With over 350 stores and outlets, this street has the highest concentration of clothing shops in Europe! So it made sense that our lovely designer Sarah and Key Account Manager Emma paid a visit there first.
They noted lots of nice ladies textured woven’s. For kids fashion they saw lots of safari prints and strong graphics coming through. And across Women’s trends, Men’s trends and Kids trends simple straw weaves with simple trims.
The second day in Milan saw lots more walking for Sarah and Emma ( and admittedly the use of a sat nav!) to find those hidden gems….boutiques. They discovered a lot of high end designer shops, which while they dont fit our brand, they enjoyed a look to see what they are offering for the season.
They found kids boutiques offering great prints, motifs, embellishments and fabric ideas on clothing which could be translated into accessories.
Before they melted in the Italian sun, there was just enough time, for another gelato before heading back to Manchester!
